G.O.S. has the astonishing capacity for the architecture to gently dissolve into its purpose, and then reassert itself when clarity is required. There is a push/pull between the way forms, functions and spaces engage with the public in varying degrees of openness and intimacy. This is brought about not only by the materiality of the building and scale, but also by light: filtered-natural lighting casts it's influence and define spaces in ways in which we feel our relationship to spaces and not simply witness them. It is an architecture for all the senses.
