The dramatic shift o the world's population into urban ares in encouraging citizens, city planners, businesses and governments to start looking at visions of 'smart' cities. What is driving the need to establish these networked environments and how smart city concepts and projects are different in the developing world, and what technologies and systems are needed to make them a reality.
In our architecture fiction future vision, we should consider issues relating to ageing population, decreasing population, healthcare needs, housing needs, community needs, etc. Do we want to plan our city focuses most on creating jobs?...followed by safety? schools? protecting neighbourhoods? or water quality?
What if we have less land in the future?
